Vice-President for Equity and Inclusion
James Felton III is the Vice-President for Equity and Inclusion at Fordham University and a nationally recognized leader in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education. A scholar-practitioner, he has led strategic initiatives, developed programs to support student success, and partnered with organizations across sectors to promote inclusive excellence and social justice.
He is co-author of Inclusive Directions: The Role of the Chief Diversity Officer in Community College Leadership, a frequent national presenter, and a member of the Board of Directors for the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education. He holds degrees in psychology and education administration from McDaniel College and is currently completing his Ph.D. in Global Leadership from Indiana Institute of Technology.
